How to choose a presentation template
Start with the decision
Pick a pitch deck when you need to explain an investment opportunity. Use a sales proposal to define a buyer’s problem, scope and price. Choose a business review to discuss results, or a roadmap to decide what comes next. The audience’s next action should determine the outline.
Download the outline before designing
Every template has a Markdown outline and reusable AI brief. Startup pitch decks and sales proposals also have free editable PowerPoint starters, with text, tables and placeholders. Open the .pptx in PowerPoint or import it into your slide tool; check the layout after importing. The library preview shows the first three slides; each guide contains the complete outline.
Replace placeholders with evidence
Add the audience, goal, dates and verified source notes. Keep missing facts marked as placeholders. For example, a fictional café’s sales proposal could name its catering service, delivery area and confirmed quote. It should leave customer testimonials blank until the café supplies permissioned, real quotations.
Check the deck before sharing
Use one main point per slide. Check totals, units, source dates and whether the final slide asks for a clear decision. Read the deck on the screen your audience will use. Copying and downloading these outlines is free; generating or editing a deck uses your available Brainbaby allowance.
