AI for developers: work from a clear repository brief
Use Brainbaby to explain code, plan a change and prepare implementation notes. When a repository is connected, select the relevant project and branch. Review the proposed changes and run the project’s tests before you merge or deploy.
Problems to make explicit in the brief
Brief context
A bug report without steps to reproduce or the relevant files.
Brief context
Changes that solve one screen while breaking another route.
Brief context
A prototype that has not been checked on a real device.
How Brainbaby fits the workflow
Give the assistant a reproducible problem
Include the expected behavior, the actual behavior and the smallest example that fails. Name the route, file or function you want investigated. Ask for a proposed explanation before making changes across the project.
Review a repository change
Select the repository and branch available to your connected account. Ask for a focused change, then inspect the diff for unrelated edits, secrets and compatibility issues. Treat generated test results as evidence to verify in your own environment.
Move from prototype to a tested app
Scope an app to a few screens and one useful task. Brainbaby’s builder can help prepare a project and preview. Verify navigation, permissions, error handling and device behavior before arranging signing or store submission.
Example: make a shopping-list input behave predictably
A fictional three-screen app provides a small testable task. Replace the names and paths with your own project details after choosing the repository.
An illustrative task brief
Context: A fictional shopping-list app has Home, List and Settings screens. Task: Review the Add item flow. Blank and whitespace-only input must not add a row. A valid item should appear once and clear the field. Expected behavior: Pressing Enter and tapping Add produce the same result. The existing delete-item flow must keep working. Scope: Investigate the list input and its state update. Do not redesign the whole app or change account settings. Start by identifying the relevant files and proposing the smallest change. Explain any missing repository context before editing. Validation: Check blank input, whitespace, one valid item, repeated taps and deleting an existing item. Report what was actually run and anything still unverified. Output: A brief explanation, a focused proposed diff and a test checklist for my review.
Review before you use the result
Review step
Confirm that the selected repository and branch are correct.
Review step
Inspect the diff for unrelated changes and private information.
Review step
Run meaningful checks in your own project; verify device-specific behavior separately.
Review step
Review signing, deployment and store requirements before releasing.
Features and account allowances
Choose the tool for the task and check its allowance before running it. Image, video and builder balances can differ. Opening an example prepares a draft and does not execute the task.
Frequently asked questions
Does Brainbaby work with GitHub?
Brainbaby has GitHub connection and repository workflows. Access depends on the account and repositories you authorize. Select the project you need, and confirm which files are available before asking for a change.
Is Brainbaby better than another coding assistant?
Compare the tools on the same small task in your own repository. Check whether the change passes meaningful tests, how much review it needs, and whether it respects your instructions. A general ranking cannot replace that evaluation.
Can I publish an app directly from a draft?
A draft or preview is a starting point. A release also needs testing, signing, account configuration and the relevant store requirements. Brainbaby cannot guarantee store approval or a finished app from a single prompt.
What usage is included?
Check the current plan and builder balance before running a task. Coding chat, app building and media generation may use different allowances. Opening an example brief on this page does not start a build.
