Minimal Presentation Templates: A White-Slide System
A plain white PowerPoint background is a useful starting point when the content needs attention. Minimal presentation design still needs hierarchy, spacing and evidence. Removing decoration will not fix an unclear argument, so write the purpose of each slide before styling it.

Choose the workflow
Define a small design system
Use a white background, dark readable text and one accent color for meaning. Set consistent margins, title placement and caption treatment. Test the smallest label at the size and distance where the presentation will be viewed instead of choosing type solely on your laptop.
Use three repeatable layouts
A statement slide contains one conclusion and brief support. An evidence slide gives most space to a chart, image or table with a source. A comparison slide aligns alternatives against the same criteria. Repetition helps the audience understand where to look.
Build the theme in the presentation editor
Use the theme or master controls in your chosen editor so global changes stay consistent. Leave charts and text editable when the recipient needs to revise them. White screenshots pasted as backgrounds look simple but cannot substitute for a usable template.
Worked example
Fictional six-slide system: title and subtitle; problem statement with a single supporting observation; two-column options comparison; evidence chart with units and source; three-step implementation plan; decision and owner. Use the same title alignment throughout. The download contains a Markdown specification for these layouts, not a POTX theme or finished PPTX file. It can guide a designer or an AI slide draft without pretending that a background image is an editable theme.
Adapt this prompt
Prompt
Design a minimal six-slide outline for [topic]. Use a white background, dark text and one accent. For every slide specify layout, headline, evidence and source position. Use only [verified notes]. Keep text and data editable. Explain where a visual is needed and where a concise statement is enough.
Check before sharing
01
Text and chart labels remain readable on the intended display.
02
The accent color communicates emphasis consistently rather than decoration.
03
The source presentation retains editable text and data where revisions are expected.
A mistake to avoid
Low-contrast gray labels and tiny footnotes are common failures in white-slide designs. Minimalism should remove friction, not essential context or accessibility.
From the worksheet to the workspace
Fill in the worksheet with your own verified material, then open the relevant Brainbaby workspace. Review the draft and the actual exported file before sharing. The download itself does not run an AI task or use credits.
Check your account’s current allowance before generating. Image and video operations have their own displayed costs; account creation does not include a free image-generation or image-editing attempt.
Questions about this workflow
Is a white background a PowerPoint template?
A background is only one component. A reusable template also defines layouts, typography and placement. The downloadable Markdown file specifies those choices but is not a PowerPoint theme file.
Can I use images in a minimal deck?
Yes. Use images that explain the point, preserve sufficient space and add a source or caption when needed. Minimal does not mean every slide must be text-only.
