# AI Weekly Client Update: Progress Without Guesswork

Clients should not have to infer progress from a long activity log. Use AI to turn dated notes into a short update with evidence, open decisions and next steps. Describe what the client can inspect now and what is still waiting on access, feedback or testing.

## Your brief

1. Provide dated work notes and links you can actually share. Label each item delivered, in review, in progress or blocked; do not rely on the assistant to infer completion.

2. Record blockers with an owner, requested action and realistic due date if agreed. Include changes in scope or dependency separately from ordinary progress.

   ____________________

3. List next-week priorities and any decision the client must make. Define the reporting time zone when teams work across countries.

## Prompt

Turn these dated notes [notes] into a weekly client update under 250 words. Use Delivered, In review, Blocked, Decisions needed and Next week. Preserve supplied statuses and evidence links. Do not invent completion percentages, test results or promises. For each blocker name the owner and needed action, or mark the owner unknown. End with one concrete request for the client.

## Illustrative example

Illustrative notes: mobile layout is in review, contact-form code is written but delivery has not been tested, and email-provider access is missing. The update says exactly that. It requests access from the client and lists the form-delivery check as next work. It does not say ‘website completed’ merely because the preview looks finished.

## Acceptance checks

- [ ] Can every completed claim be tied to a supplied artifact or observation?
- [ ] Are blockers stated without blaming the client, with an owner and a requested next action?
- [ ] Does next week’s plan preserve uncertainty and dependencies instead of making unconditional delivery promises?

Avoid turning ‘worked on’ into ‘finished.’ If a note says a draft exists, call it a draft. Keep internal hours or private team comments out of the client version unless the reporting agreement requires them.
