# AI video shot planner

Free, editable worksheet by Brainbaby. No account or AI request is needed to use this file. It is a planning document, not a generated video or a tested performance benchmark.

## 1. Define the project

- Audience:
- Purpose and next action:
- Destination and required dimensions:
- Target total length:
- Source files and permission to use them:
- Details that must remain accurate:
- Available video-credit balance:
- Maximum credits you will spend on attempts:
- Stop condition:

## 2. Plan one shot at a time

| Shot | Subject and setting | Main action | Camera movement | Details to preserve | Planned length | Audio or text to add separately |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 1 | | | | | | |
| 2 | | | | | | |
| 3 | | | | | | |

Keep exact prices, logos and claims in a separate editing step when generated lettering is unreliable. Reusing a source does not guarantee identical details in every frame.

## 3. Worked example: fictional ceramic mug

This is an illustrative three-shot plan, not real product footage or an observed AI result. Each planned shot is five seconds if that length is offered in your selected workflow. Three planned five-second shots total fifteen seconds before cuts, titles or transitions. Actual files must be checked.

| Shot | Proposed brief | Review requirement |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 1 | Plain cream mug on a wooden table, morning window light, slow small push-in; mug remains still; no text or people | Handle stays attached; shape and color do not change |
| 2 | Close view of the same mug handle; camera remains still; subtle change in the window reflection | Compare with source; no new handle or invented decoration |
| 3 | Same mug beside a closed notebook; fixed camera and composition; no scene cut | No unwanted lettering or extra objects; visual style fits shots 1 and 2 |

These instructions express a target. They do not establish that a particular model will meet it.

## 4. Record each real attempt

Use the accompanying CSV or copy these fields into your own document:

- Date, tool and displayed model:
- Shot ID and attempt ID:
- Exact prompt and reference version:
- Requested duration and resolution:
- Displayed credit cost before submitting:
- Observed balance change after the job settles:
- Job status:
- Actual downloaded duration and dimensions:
- Audio observed:
- Unwanted changes and timestamp in the clip:
- Decision: keep, revise or stop:

Leave results blank until you have observed them. Credit cost, output resolution and processing time vary; this worksheet contains no quoted prices, automatic scores or preselected winner. Keep currency separate from credits. Do not put private source URLs, account IDs or access tokens in a worksheet you share publicly.

## 5. Review the full clip and handoff

- Watch the beginning, middle and end at normal speed.
- Inspect required product details across frames.
- Check for object changes, unwanted cuts, flicker and incorrect text.
- Listen to the actual file rather than assuming audio was included.
- Reopen the downloaded file and check length and dimensions.
- Assemble separate shots, titles and approved audio in an appropriate editor.
- Compare the final export with the brief before publishing.
